Columbia Groundwork is based right here in Castle Rock, at 1510 PH 10. Castle Rock takes its name from the 190-foot volcanic rock formation that rises at the south end of town, a landmark for the Cowlitz people and Hudson's Bay Company traders as far back as 1832, and still visible from I-5 today. The town was founded in 1883 along the Cowlitz River, and its low-lying ground has a real history of river flooding, which is exactly why grading and drainage aren't an afterthought on projects here. We've built driveways, pads, and utility lines on this ground for years, we know how it drains and how it doesn't.
